So, this was cool.
I wasn’t trying to stir up anything with his fans. I didn’t think random people read celebrity @replies. I just wanted to let Tosh know that, at that moment, I thought he was the worst. I didn’t say I hate him or call him unfunny or gay or a bitch or whatever, but that’s what I got called!
Yay!
I think shit like this happens because Daniel Tosh is a voice for insensitivity, inconsiderateness and general douchebaggery. And douchebags love him because he justifies them being assholes. I think they think that if he’s making jokes about it, it’s okay to act that way. And if one person calls him out for being the fucking worst, then they have to react this way because they feel threatened. What if more people told him he was the worst?! What if he started to realize that he is the worst?! What if he stopped making jokes about rape?! Then they’d have to stop treating women as objects whose purpose is their sexual pleasure! They’d have to treat them as HUMAN BEINGS!
And that would suck for them. So they call my friend Elizabeth a bitch in order to maintain their lifestyles of misogyny and ignorance because giving a shit about other people is hard and they’d really rather not do it.
